Beyond completing a portion of that project over the weekend I also played a little Pathfinder and finished watching the show Numb3rs.
The game session was quite a bit of fun, we are playing in a really screwy town playing on voodoo magics and the like. In this session my wife got to play a pretty key combat role as she plays an Oracle and the situation we ended up in allowed her to play pretty heavily with her channel energy ability. We ended up being magic'd or drugged to sleep and were being carried off in coffins by the undead. Most of us were pretty much out of the fight as we had been de-weaponized and were without armor. Luckily her character needed no weapons to blast undead with 2D6 damage a turn (each undead had something like 12 hp so it didnt take long). After getting out of the coffins and defeating the undead there we then moved up to a plantation that we had been suspecting of being the root of our most recent problems and sure enough it was a pretty bad place. We ended the session after fighting off some undead family about to sit down to a dinner, they were of course about to eat the head of a town's person we were attempting to save. We all also leveled up to 4th during this session which is always a nice thing to get. :)
Last little bit in this post will be about the show Numb3rs. I loved watching this show, while sometimes it was a little silly with the "as you know" explanations of how the genius math guy (Charlie Epps) was solving crimes it was an all around amazing show. The main character is a boy genius (well he is an adult right now but he finished college when he was like 13) and the show is about him and his Brother (Don Epps) solving FBI cases using math. The characters in this show were amazingly portrayed, it is rare in a TV show that I think that a family actually feels like a real family but they really pulled it off in this one. I would highly recommend watching this show, it is currently available for viewing on Netflix live. :)
