Tournament last weekend

So I played in an event meant to be a prep for iron arena. I played a list from cryx and a list from legion. The TLDR version is that I went 2/2 and won an award for best painted army. Here's the long version:

Round 1:

No luck, fought a kreos2 list with like 5 units of infantry. I was using abby, which i think might have been a mistake. Not good for my lists, I put up a good fight but lost, there were just way too many high arm targets with immunity to fire. I tried my best but just couldn't keep up even with the amount of AoEs I had in this list.

Round 2:

No luck again, gaspy2 with like 4 units of banes and biles and blood witches and stuff. I played Morty, I think this possibly was a mistake as well. I think I should have played Abby here and Morty in the first game. In any case it went similarly to the first game except that I actually had the game and then rolled like a retard on gaspy and lost. I had a jack on him and roll like four 4s in a row (one of them on three dice) and I used my feat the previous turn. 

Round 3:

Played against circle using kaya2 (possibly mis-spelled). The poor guy had never fought Morty before and I killed 3 of his heavies in one turn. Though he still almost pulled off a kill thanks to some very high damage rolls and some tricky movement stuff with her wolf puppy friend. It was a blast of a game because it was fun watching him pull my own movement tricks against me by getting to my caster when I thought she was safe. I won the game with 3 hp on Morty. Very fun 

Round 4:

Played against a Bart/galleon list and took Morty. I ended up winning by assassination because the guy didn't think I could get far enough across the board to get to him so he left the guy left Bart a little unprotected. Turns out that I could get to him and killed him. 

I ended up not placing but I did win a prize for best painted army which was awesome. All the lights in the kraken and desecrator are pretty much what sold it in the end. But people were also very happy with my harrower pose (I don't know if that made a difference)
